"The Wren Boys" do not go round this district on St Stephen's Day. The men go off hunting and shooting on this day. It is a day for parties, Land Trees??? etc. ST BRIGID'S DAYST PATRICK'S DAY
On this day everyone wears a shamrock in honour of the Saint. It is a holiday for everyone. The people go to church in the morning and the evening is spent in enjoyment as Lenten rules are not observed for the day.SHROVE TUESDAY
