  1. There is no ruined castle in this district Local History records the existence of "The Wealthy Abbey of Tyhallon" but it is now known only by name. There is no trace of its site.
    "St Cilians Church" is built on the site of an old Church said to have been founded by St Patrick or one of his followers.
    The present edifice faces in the opposite direction to that of the former.
    There are no towers in the district
    St Cilians Church is situated in the Townland of Templetate.
