    When there is a rainbow in the sky it is a sign of showery weather.
    When the wind comes from the North we shall have snow.
    When it blows from the South it will be warm and the West wind brings rain.
    The West wind brings most rain to our district.
    The sea gulls come inland when there is a storm at sea.
    The crows go hovering about through the sky when there is rain coming.
    When the cat sits with her back to the fire it is a sign of frost.
    When the goat comes home it is a sign of bad weather, but if she stays on top of the hill the weather will be fair.
    If the robin comes into the house it is a sign of frost and snow.
    When the fire burns a lot of coal it is a sign of frost.
