    was taken to Mrs. Newport's house (on a stretcher bed) a distance of four hundred yards. They burned the windows and doors and some of the furniture. They threw petrol on a little alter while over it hung a picture of the Blessed Virgin. The blaze went up all round it without burning it. It is there to the present day unharmed.
