    eats three pieces of the egg. Then he says another Hail Mary. The egg is left boiling for a long tine, so that it will be hard. Then he passes it around to the family. Each person does the same until everyone gets a piece of the Blessed egg. Then breakfast begins. Easter Sunday morning we lay a sally switch on our arm in the shape of a cross in honour of the resurrection.
    When they used potatoes they pulled the table to the middle of the floor so that the steam would not harden the walls. When they used tea they left the table beside the wall.
