  1. Fairy Forts in
    Barron's Rath is in Mr. Barron's field Ballyogan. Its former owener once interfered with it and he was punished. One morning he went out with two horses to plough the field. He found that the rath was a great obstruction to him, so he started to cut the (?) from the rath. When his wife came out to call him to his dinner, she found him in a faint in the middle of the field. He was not better for a month after. One of the horse's legs was broken and he died a few days after. The plough was also broken.
