Another district adjoining Barleagh Wood is "Coolroe".

    (continued from previous page)
Edward Coady seventy, Mrs. Coady seventy one and Mrs Whelan, seventy - all are from Coolroe. They know no Irish, but can tell stories in English. Four houses are now in ruins. Several people emigrated to America, Australia and New Zealand in former times, and for the last three years many emigrated to England. Some of the land is hilly and boggy, while mose is the best of land. A stream runs down beside Christie Kavanagh house Coolroe, and it is named St. Brendan's stream.
