    3. About a hundred yeas ago boys used to make toy guns out of a peice of an elder tree. They would hole it with wire. Then they would get a piece of a stick and drive in the hole. They would put in a bullet at each side of the hole. They would drive in the stick in one side and drive out one of the bullets. When the two bullets would meet together it would let a shot.

  2. In the parish of The Rower one time it was thought unlucky to get married in the month of May. It is also thought unluck to whitewash in May, or to wash your hair. A lot of people say that Monday is a bad day to begin to work, or to do anything else. Tuesday is believed to be an unlucky day to plough, or harrow,
