  1. In 1897 there was a severe storm. It lasted a night and a day. The wind blew straw ricks and hay ricks half a mile or more from where they were built. There were no signs of the storm before hand. There were a lot of trees and houses blown down by the wind. There were a lot of boats lost on the ocean, and a lot of lives lost also.
    A severe thunder storm.
    In 1902 there was a severe thunder storm. It lasted a night and a day. Before the thunder storm every place was very dark. There were a lost of sheep, horses, and cows lost in the night of the storm. There were a lot of people lost on the ocean that night. The lightning cut branches off the trees. It killed a lot of sheep that were on the hills. It rained heavy with the storm, and there were big floods in the river. The water went into some houses.
