    to the Sean Abha at the old creamery (which is two miles due east of Castleisland and continues into the river Maine which is really a continuation of it.

    Cíll Mhuire so called because of a catholic church dedicated to Our Lady which was built in this townland in olden times. The ruins of this old church are still to be seen in Kilmurry Graveyard which is about 100 yards north of the school. Three walls of the old church are still extant. The excellent stone masonry and the oblong shape of the church points to the fact that it was built in the Norman period.
    Cill Chuáin townland at the foot of Crocán mountain and extending towards the south, so called because Saint Cuáin
