When he came in again the woman had a cake made and a bottom of an oven in the middle of it. When the cake was baked she asked the giant to take some tea and he said he would. While he was drinking his tea he saw the husband in the cradle. She replied that it was, but he was getting the teeth now and that he was getting thin After a while she told him to put his thumb into the child's mouth to see how sharp his teeth were. So the giant did as he was told and the child bit off his thumb Then the giant thought and said to himself when the child is so big and strong his father must be very big and strong.
