  1. As I went out this blessed morning
    To view this hold land
    I met a blessed lady
    With seven Mass books in her hand
    Seven bells a ringing
    Seven hymns a singing
    Open the gates of heaven and close the gates of hell.
    Those who say this prayer three times by the night and three times by the day they will never die in sin.
    There are four corners on my bed and four angels overhead. Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. God bless the bed that I lay on.
    As I lay down to sleep I give my soul to God to keep God within God without. Christ Almighty round about
