    He was also a great weight-thrower He was able to throw the half cwt thirty feet. He was able to lift very heavy stones. He walked 40 miles in one day.
    Mick Lang of Drumell walked to a fair in Boyle and back in one day.
    Tom McNulty of Dooey used to catch hares and rabbit when he was a young man but now he is over 88 years of age.
    A man named Briene of Killavoggy Ballintogher walked to Sligo a distance fo 17 miles and back again. When coming home he carried eight gallons of whiskey and four gallons of stout. He could carry three cwt.
