    A small boy had been sent to the country to stay at a farm for a week. One day he came running to the farmer looking very excited.
    " Oh sir," he said, " a mouse had got into the milk churn."
    " Well, you have pulled it out, haven't you?" asked the farmer.
    " No," replied the boy weakly.
    " I put the cat in after it."
