    One cold winter night we were all sitting around a bright turf fire.

    heard a slight rattle of leaves behind him. On looking round he beheld a beautiful lady.
    "You do not look happy" she said.
    "No" said the man. "I have to work too hard for so little pay".
    "If I fill your can with gold will you be happy"
    For the first time that day the man's spirits arose.
    "Now are you happy" said the girl after filling the can.
    "Well said the man. "if the can was a bit bigger I should have enough for all my life". May I go home for a larger one".
    The girl said nothing so thought the man "Silence gives consent",
    Very soon he was back with a bucket
