The fort in Farran, mentioned in 1, is round. It is surrounded by two fences which have a path between them. On top of these fences blackthorn trees are growing.
People say that the Danes built this fort and lived in it. Nobody ever interfered with the place because they say if a body interfered with a fort he would die very soon. One night a woman dressed in white was seen come out of it and come through the fields to the road.
