  1. Long ago there was a farmer by the name of Micheal O'Connor, in the parish of Tarbert, and he dreamt that there was money buried in a haggard beside the house. He told his son about the dream.
    They began digging until they came to half a griddle. When they took it up there was money under it. They took up the griddle and put it againist the wall in the kitchen. There was writing on it also, but they could not understand it.
    One day a poor scholar came in and they gave him something to eat. When he was eating they noticed that he kept looking
