  1. There was a man and his wife who had a shop in Newtown years and years ago. In those days there were no commercial travel so that the man and his wife use go to Limerick by boat from Tarbert Island to purchase their goods. After getting through with their shoppings they were late for the boat and had to come home by the late train to Kilmorna that night.
    Their people went to Tarbert island to meet them with a car to take them home, but they were disappointed so that when the man and his wife got off the train at Kilmorna there was no car to take them home so they both started to walk to Newtown.
