    Long ago there was a fort in the parish of Tarbert and there was a house near it. The people that lived in that house were called Culhanes. All their cattle were dying and it was supposed that it was the fairies that were killing them. Every day there used to be a brown woman seen there. One day an old brown woman came into Mrs. Culhane's
