    There are many parts in the neighbourhood.

    There are many forts in the neighbourhood. One of them is in Shanaway in the parish of Tarbert. They say that a man hanged himself there. There is a bottle of Holy Water under a holly tree and it is said that whoever will cut a tree there, his head will be turned back.
    There is a fort above Ned Mulvihill's house in Leitrim East. One night the woman of the house was going in, and she saw a sow and a litter of bonhams in the yard, and they neither had a sow or bonhams at the time. The first one of the family up the following morning saw them going into the fort.
