  2. There was a fort in the townland of Tarmons in the parish of Tarbert. One day the owner of the fort was met a man whom he engaged to knock down the fence around the fort. He promised him a sum of money when the job was complete. The man was very willing to receive the sum of money so he prepared himself for the work.
