    Keane, who uses it as a barn. This school was roofed with green sods and the pupils sat on stones and sheaves of straw. They wrote with a quill. The man who taught in this school was one Mr. Beirne, and his usual fare was a penny a day. Those who did not give that kept for the night on their turns.
