  1. There was a family living in this castle called the Concannons. They were a catholic family. There was a church built here where the graveyard was and it was called Teampall Maol. There is a tunnel from the graveyard to the church under the ground. There was no lake in it first until a man stuck a soaker and was trying to catch fish and the water spread out and covered about sixteen acres of land with water that was how the lake was found first.
