  1. Mary Martin was a quilter who lived at James McGee's house of Kilclare. The people used to buy flannel and if they had a worn blanket they would put it between the flannel and sent it to the quilter she would put it on the quilting frame and run the pieces up and across.
    She often made patchwork quilts, she would get different coloured pieces and sew them up together in squares. These made beautiful quilts.
