    Geography. The children used to use pen pencil and slate. Slates were used mostly.
    The theachers used to teach indoors. They were not strangers. When Miss Devany died the school was changed to Mr. Tarpey's loft in Cartron. A girl the name of Miss Egan was teaching there. When the new school was built Miss Egan was teaching there also.
