  1. There was an old castle in Tullaha Kilfenora and tradition had it that there's a chest of gold hidden in the precinct of the castle and whenever local people used to look for it they were frightened away by some wild animal like a dog with blazing eyes. The castle was demolished in 1922 or 3 and the stones were used for building a new house(O'Loughlin's).
