    Bread is made from Oaten Meal and a little salt and sugar and it is mixed with Boiling water and it is baked with dry Oat meal. It is cooked standing on an iron in front of a turf fire. That is the kind of bread the people in Olden times used. They would bake as much on Saturday as would do till the next Saturday.
