  1. Once upon a time there lived a family named Shiles. They lived in a farmer's house and had a big farm. There were six brothers of them there all of whom were very strong but were not healthy.
    One year they had the oats cut in the fields and some of it was stolen from them by night. From that year till they died the oats was stolen every year. They all died young and their farm was sold. The man who bought the farm was the man who stole the oats from them. It is said that every year since
