    It flows from the mountain with a with a wild gushing roar
    To join the Blackwater near the town of Lismore

    Oh to stand on the old wooden bridge
    And watch you come down through the mountains ridge
    As o'er the rocks you gently pour
    To join the Blackwater near the town of Lismore.

    Oh to stand at the gap
    Where the white heather grows
    and view you wind through the valley below
    as the wee waterfalls you gently pour o'er
    To join the Black water near the town of Lismore.
