  1. A Local Song

L stands for Lismore, Dear town of my birth. To me she is the fairest, And best upon earth.

L stands for Lismore, Dear town of my birth.
To me she is the fairest, and best upon earth.
And though in all others. I cheerfully roam
I never forget Old Lismore is my home
O dear town of Lismore You lie peacefully there
With your old ancient castle Pointing up to the sky
And the river Blackwater Flowing silenting by.
    Dear town of my birth.
    I always shall love you.
    You are in my thoughts.
Every night, every day. May God and his mother
    Always protect you
