  1. There are three holy wells in this district St. Carthage's Well, Glory's Well and St. Colman's Well.
    St. Carthages Well is situated a little distance from the town in the plantation which was once a grave-yard.
    Glory's Well is in ''scairbheac''.
    St Colman's well is in a field in a small village called ''Carrig Na Gabhar''.

    People visit St. Carthages Wells on the fourteenth of May and they get water from the well.
    All the people in the family take three mouthfulls each of the water and bless themselves.
    On Easter Sunday St Colman's well is visited and the water is also taken from that field.
    Old rags, cord, flowers or something must be left by the people that visit the well on a bush that is near the well as a sign that the well
