  1. My father told me that when he was young, he went to school in an old house. The ruins of this house are to be seen on the side of the Ballinahaglish road, about a quarter of a mile south of the present Rehins School.
    He was not long attending this school, when, for some reason, it was condemned, and removed about a hundred yards to the north. "The new school" was the name which the people called it. Mrs. Kelly was the teacher, who taught my father. That school, which is now a stable is owned by Mr. Thomas Finnerty.
