  1. About fifty years ago, my father who lived in Ballinahaglish in the parish of Backs, was carting potatoes from Ballina Quay to Swinford.
One evening he was coming home, and was in a great hurry. When he reached Foxford, he met some friends, who gave him some tea. He did not find the time passing away until it was near twelve o'clock in the night. He was not long getting into his cart, and starting off.
When he reached Mount Falcon wood, he saw a lady walking quite close to the wheel of the cart. She had a lovely silk dress on her. While the lady was walking beside him, there was a pig grunting inside in the wood. This continued until he came as far as the entrance gates to the Mount Falcon house.
