  1. Fifty years ago, I had a spinning wheel of my own. I used to card wool and spinn it into thread. Then I would take it to the weaver to be woven into cloth.
    I grew flax in my own land, scutched it and spun it into thread. When that was done, I would take it to the weaver to be woven into linen.
    I have a sheet and blanket of my own handwork yet. It was woven by Malachy Kelly., Lisaniska, Knockmore, Backs, Co. Mayo.
