  1. "Twenty one years ago there was a big fall of snow. It was four or five feet high. The people had to take it away from their doors, when they wanted to go out.
    At that time a man named Tomas Clarke Cloghans of this parish died. Six men went to Ballina, and bought a coffin. They brought it home on their shoulders.
    On their way home they travelled on the railway. They could not walk on the road. When they reached home, they put the dead body in the coffin.
    This man was buried under strange conditions. The
