Long ago there lived a poor man alone.

Long ago there lived a poor man alone. There was a fort two fields away from the house + the people told there was supposed to be gold hidden there. His name was Pat Reilly. He lived in the townland of Corcraft. One day he put a spade across his shoulder + went to the fort. He dug 'till it was almost dark + as he was going to quit he heard a noise saying. "Dig on" He had a large hole dug in one spot + he looked down + saw a tiny house. He went down + the door opened A wee man told him to go + of course he was glad to do so. When he went to there was a great crowd of fairies singing + dancing. They asked him to live with them + he said he would. A little gold clock sat on a table + are of the fairies gave him a wee can. When the clock struck 4 the lights went out + all was silence. The man went home with his clan + when he took off the lid it was full of gold + no matter how much he took out it always remained full. He never saw the fairies again
