  1. My father has a field at home, called the "Kill Field", in the townland of Frael, and in the parish of Denn.
Once upon a time, a man was walking through this field and there happened to be a very wicked bull in it.
The bull heard the man coming, and attacked him, but by some ill - luck the man did not hear the bull coming until he was up beside him, and by that time he had no chance of escaping.
The bull ran at the man, and knocked him on a big stone. The man's skull was fractured, and he was removed to Hospital, where he died some time afterwards.
That is the reason, why this field is called the "Kill Field."
