- I am living in Ballyjamesduff, and there is a fort beside my house, in the townland of Moodouge.
Once upon a time a poor man was in want of firewood. He was living near this fort, where there was a lot of trees. One night he went to the fort to cut a tree. When he reached the fort he began to cut it; when he had the tree half cut, a small man appeared before him. He was not a very strong man, so he fainted, when he got out of the faint, he got up, and went into the town, and told the people what had happened. The next(continues on next page) - Collector
