  1. There is a well situated at the foot of Carn mountain known as Webster's well.
    This man was a criminal who escaped from jail. When it was known of his escape they set out after him and surrounded the place where he was hid; they were closing in on him and he saw he was caught, so he hung himself on a branch of a tree that was over the well.
