   The wren is a small bird. She is of a brown colour. She builds her nest in a hedge, or between two bushes. She lays about fifteen or sixteen eggs. She makes her nest of moss, and feathers. She sits on them for about three weeks. She builds a very comfortable little nest, and the entrance is at the side.
   The swallow makes her nest in an old shed, or in the eaves of houses. They are of a blue, and white colour. they make their nest of moss, and clay.
   The magpie is of a blue speckled colour. She is known to suck eggs. She builds her nest in a tree, and she lays seven eggs. They are very unlucky birds.
   The blackbird is a fairly large bird. She is a black colour, with a yellow beak. She lays five blue speckled eggs. She builds a very comfortable nest in a ditch, or in a bush. She builds it of moss, and clay.
   The pigeon is a large bird. She is mostly seen in a wood. She is of a bluish grey colour. She makes her nest high up in a tree. She lays three eggs.
