- About four generations ago, there lived in County Cavan a man who was supposed to be able to work the "black art."
One day, he thought he would go to the market to make a few pounds. So gathering a load of baughlons (buachalon = Ragweed), he brought them out in a covered cart. He wasn't long in the (in) market, until a man came up to him and asked what he had in the cart, to which he replied, "A cart of pigs, Sir," revealing a fine load of pigs, which he sold for a large sum of money. The purchaser of the pigs, very proud of his bargain went home, but on removing the cover, all he found was a load of baughlons.
On another occasion, this man who worked the "black art" was riding a horse through Cavan town, his face towards the horse's tail. A girl happened to be looking through a window, and saw the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
