   they nearly all have boots of some kind in Winter. In Summer children sometimes go barefoot for the fun of going without boots.
   Clogs were made in Ballyroebuck and were neater than those made nowadays. There were coverings for clogs made from sheeps skin but when they got wet they were no use. Clogs are sometimes worn still. The roadman who works on the road by the school has clogs at the present time.
   There are no local shoemakers in this district nearer than Newtownbarry.
   These are Mr John Wall, Mr Eddie Cowman and Mr Jim Wall. These Walls are working at shoemaking for generations back. The Walls used to make boots and sell them opposite Mr G. Lewis' shop on fair days
