   Long ago a man named Tom Clancy lived at Rathaspic well, they used to call him Tom Shot, a woman named Mrs Duck used to cook for him. This night he was sick in bed and he told her he was dying and to get him a sup of holy water. She went home they were playing cards she stood watching them and the window got three hard knocks she said. Poor Tom is dying, and she rushed down followed by the men who were playing cards when they reached him he was nearly dead.
   Mrs Fleming who lived where the Cormacks live now owned the field at Price's now called the Chapel field because at that time there was a chapel in it. One Sunday she was late for Mass and when she went in she hit the priest a slap in the face and said "How dare you commence Mass until I come".
