  1. Corry is one of the oldest schools in the district. It is almost a century old. It was a chapel first. Then in 1846 the new chapel was built and then it became a school. It became a national school in 1832.
    There were a good lot of teachers in it. Some of their names were

    Mrs Dalton native of Clunty, Lenamore
    Mrs Heslin, Kileo Longford
    Mrs Kiloran, Sligo
    Mrs Murphy and Mr Muleady, Moate
    Mrs Dardis, Wicklow
    And at the present time
    Mrs Cox native of Bracklin, Mostrim
    she is the principal teacher and
    Mrs Conway native of Abeylara.
