- There was a convent on the top of Cauran hill in olden times and Peter Kill Murray has the window of the convent still. There is a little stream running from the top of the hill, and there was a well there and that was where the monks used to get their water and it is closed up ow. The water runs into the pond and that is why the pond was never known to go dry.
