    In this district long ago, and up to the present day it was usual for the people to get married before Shrove Tuesday.
    It is thought that Friday and Saturday are unlucky days on which to get married and that May and September are unlucky months to get married in.
    The old people often went to the fairs and markets to make matches. There they met the mothers or fathers of the pair that are
