   If numerous flies are seen out in the evenings when the weather is cold snow is nearly always at hand.
   When the sky is very brown and when an easterly wind is blowing we can always be sure of snow.
   Snow is always at hand when the seagulls come inland and when they screech very loud.
   When the surface of the road becomes suddenly dry it is also a great sign of snow.
   At sunset if the whole horizon is of a red colour we can be sure of snow in a few days time.
