  1. Hunting was the chief sport of the Fianna of Erin chiefly that of the Deer which they followed on foot. During one of those hunts they followed a deer and Oisin being the swiftest he outdistanced the others and in a lonely glen he closed on the deer which to his great surprise turned into a lovely young girl.
    He stopped running and she stopped also and spoke to him "You are very swift she said " there are none of the rest as swift as you". If you will come with me I will carry you to a place where you will never grow old and you will be the same as you are now until the end of time. Oisin being a splendid looking man and young at the time he agreed to go with her and when the others came up there was no trace of Oisin or the deer.
