supposed to be a cure for sick people. It was analysed year ago by a priest, and it was found, out, to have contained magnesia. It is also used for sick cattle or horses. Some people believed and still believe that this water is of no use unless they take something with them, such as a half-penny, a button or a bead and leave it instead of the water they are taking. Several people say that this water is a perfect cure. The well can be seen from a great distance around. Beside teh well there is a white pillar. It is a boggy field, and there are a lot of twigs growing around where it is situated.
There is some reason for all these names even for everyone of the field-names. For instance, our field which is called Páirc Liac, always grows a lot of light coloured grass suitable for the feeding of horses. It is therefore called Páirc Liac.
Harrington's field is so named because a man named Harrington lived there long ago, and the bridge field is near the road where there is a bridge built.
There are also several other names which it would take a long time to tell about.
