- We are back to school again after the Christmas holidays. We had three weeks holidays. It is the greatest feast of the year. It is also the season of great joy in memory of the coming of Jesus Christ. The old people have alot of old customs about Christmas.They say that all the family should be together at the meals on Christmas eve and on Christmas night. Some one should always stay in the house on Christmas eve. No one should stay out late on Christmas night.We usually have stock-fish and gravy made out of butter & new milk for Christmas eve for dinner.We have a turkey or a goose for dinner on Christmas day and Saint Stephens day. On St Stephens day the young garsún's comes around to the houses(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
